The Museum of Chinese in America

Founded in 1980, the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) is dedicated to preserving and presenting the history, heritage, culture and diverse experiences of people of Chinese descent in the United States.

Feel it. Taste it. Hear it.

MOCA is proud to present its first Young Professionals Expo on Wednesday, November 10th!

This exciting event will feature David Henry Hwang, Michelle Krusiec, Archie Kao, Chris Cheung and Lucy Liu, with a music performance by Dana Leong at Arena here in New York. As an engaging forum for cultural, social, and education programs, MOCA has attracted a large group of Asian American trendsetters and professional leaders who have the common goal of celebrating the contributions of past generations of Chinese in America. We are excited to bring them together for this event, and our YP committee members and development staff have been putting tremendous effort in to make this event happen successfully. If you or anyone you know is interested in celebrating an evening of culture, creativity and couture, this is the right event for you! Click here to purchase tickets through our online site. We look forward to seeing you at Arena on November 10th!

We also have more exciting YP news. After over a year of development, the MOCA Young Professionals group has been growing, and we decided to develop a separate website in order to provide a better platform and message board for all the YP members. After few weeks of design and planning–and with thanks to YP Coordinating Committee member Chris Yahng, Development Associate Marissa Chen and support from Director of Development Carolyn Antonio–we launched our first beta version of the new YP website: www.yp.mocanyc.org. We envision the second stage of this website will bring more interactive elements including forums, comments, and a more friendly way to share contents through major social network sites like Facebook, Twitter and more. We’re looking forward to sharing it all with you.
